CHEAP LG INFINIA 60PK750 60-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV

Did the the ridiculous level of research and narrowed it down to LG Samsung plasma. Have a wide long room requiring many viewing angles. The TV itself is setting on an corner stand. The view is spectacular from all angles. BUT have had issues with the very top line of the screen. While watching the news NBCHD I will occasionally see very thin white lines at the top of the screen. Not sure if its TV or broadcast related. Watched Avatar via Blue-Ray using cheap HDMI cables. The whole family was blown away at the picture quality.br /br /Overall is very happy.br /br /Sound great without buzzing. Must use degaussing magnet on power cord.br /br /Seem to have more Internet functionality through a cheap (0) LG blue-ray than TV.

Setting a new standard in picture quality, the 60-inch LG INFINIA 60PK750 1080p Plasma HDTV features THX Display Certification, 600Hz Sub-Field Driving, a protective Skin Glass, Dual XD Engine, and a TruBlack Filter to provide superior picture quality in a bright room. It also comes with LG’s NetCast, enabling you to access to TV shows, movies and more, streamed directly from the Internet to your television screen. p The 600Hz Sub-Field Driving improves moving picture response time using a 10 sub-field per frame driving process for a clearer picture. The Protective Skin Glass system reduces the gap between the outer glass and filter by 70 percent, virtually eliminating double imaging and helping to reduce glare. And LG’s exclusive Dual XD Engine facilitates up-conversion of standard definition content to near high-definition quality, so you can enjoy improved image quality with everything you watch. p Passing more than 30 rigorous tests, this LG INFINIA Plasma TV achieved picture quality worthy of THX Display Certification–the industry standard for having the correct gamma, luminance, and color temperature. This certification demonstrates that this HDTV can recreate the cinema experience at home, making the picture resemble movie theatre quality. p Other features include an incredible 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio for more stunning colors and deeper blacks, two USB ports for connecting external drives for playing back MP3 audio, JPEG photo and DivX HD video files, stereo speakers with 20 watts of power and Dolby Digital decoding, and four HDMI inputs. pimg src=”http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/electronics/detail-page/lg/lg-2010lcd-logo-netcast.jpg” border=0 align=right width=120 height=50 hspace=”5″ vspace=”5″h2NetCast Entertainment Access/h2 NetCast Entertainment Access brings the best Internet services direct to your TV–no computer required. LG INFINIA 60PK750 60-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV

CHEAP LG INFINIA 60PK750 60-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV

Did the the ridiculous level of research and narrowed it down to LG & Samsung plasma. The whole family was blown away at the picture quality.

Overall is very happy.

Sound great without buzzing. Must use degaussing magnet on power cord.

Seem to have more Internet functionality through a cheap (0) LG blue-ray than TV.

The 600Hz Sub-Field Driving improves moving picture response time using a 10 sub-field per frame driving process for a clearer picture.

Passing more than 30 rigorous tests, this LG INFINIA Plasma TV achieved picture quality worthy of THX Display Certification–the industry standard for having the correct gamma, luminance, and color temperature. This certification demonstrates that this HDTV can recreate the cinema experience at home, making the picture resemble movie theatre quality.

Other features include an incredible 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio for more stunning colors and deeper blacks, two USB ports for connecting external drives for playing back MP3 audio, JPEG photo and DivX HD video files, stereo speakers with 20 watts of power and Dolby Digital decoding, and four HDMI inputs.

Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?

HDTV Size chart With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.

If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.

  • Minimum size = Viewing distance/3
  • Maximum size=Viewing distance/1.5

LG 60PS60 60-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV

CHEAP LG 60PS60 60-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV

After researching both Plasma and LCD/LED Flatscreen Televisions online AND in local stores I decided that the new generation Plasma TV would be my choice, I cannot understand why people are paying THOUSANDS more for a 240hz TV when Plasma offers 600hz minimum? With the lifespan of both TV’s reaching 100,000 hrs and burn in no longer being a problem..why not Plasma?? I’ve only had the TV a couple of days so I cannot comment on the longevity of the product but I can say that this TV by far has the BEST picture I’ve seen and I’ve been to every local Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, Conn’s and local dealers….at least 5 time each.br /br /It doesn’t give off the heat that my 32″ Visio does either, very efficient. With the user friendly calibration getting it set up was a snap although I still may have it professionally calibrated sometime in December. The remote is very easy to use and understand, the stand (I dont have it mounted on the wall yet) is very sturdy and swivels making it easy to twist the screen from side to side. I have this set in my living room where there are 6 big windows, the reflection is not as bad as I thought it would be but being able to twist the set just an inch or so stops all reflection…its awesome.br /br /The Picture…MAN!! My wife is amazed at how “3-D” the picture looks and thats on Cox cable HD broadcast not to mention blu-ray. I watched the Oregon/USC replay just to get an idea how sports would look…WOW!! (Geaux Tigers btw..LSU!)br /br /All in all I am very pleased with the set, the seemless glass screen is beautiful and makes the set very professional when its turned off…cant say much more..for the price (I got it for 00 on sale at Amazon with free shipping)you cannot do better..trust me and save time researching..you wont be sorry.
